MSME, Govt of India – Design Awareness Seminar conducted at MITE
Design Awareness Program was organised by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Govt of India,
Mangaluru branch jointly with Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Badagamijar, Moodbidri on March 1st 2017 in MITE campus. The program focused on providing expert advice and solutions on design problems along with financial support schemes available from Govt of India. Sri S N Rangaprasad, Director, MSME-DI, Bengaluru was the chief guest for the occasion. In his inaugural address, Mr. Rangaprasad spoke about Innovation and Design. HE also mentioned about bringing out innovative ideas with the help of creativity and the procedure to put up incubators to implement the same which can be funded by the Govt of India. Sri Udaykumar A Bhat, Assistant Director, Branch MSME-DI, Mangaluru gave an insight on Design Clinic Scheme where students can apply for grants by submitting their project proposals. Sri K Socrates, Deputy Director, Branch MSME-DI, Mangaluru, presented a talk on various Start Up schemes available for those aspiring self employment. Dr. G L Easwara Prasad, Principal, MITE presided over the function. Sri Sathyanarayana, Head of Mechatronics Engineering and Entrepreneurship and Development Cell, MITE proposed Vote of Thanks.70 students from various engineering branches from MITE were benefitted from this program.
