MITE Students wins the Platinium Award with a cash Prize of Rs 10 Lakhs at KPIT Sparkle

'Team Alpha Gear', - the Final Year Students of Mechanical Engineering of MITE - Sharafath, Nandu Krishnana, Sayuj Vijayan and Muhammed Asif Abdulla won the Prestigious Annual National Design and Innovation Contest conducted annually by KPIT - KPIT Sparkle. The Team won the Platinium Award with a Cash Prize of Rs 10 Lakhs. The team worked under the guidance of Mr. Saviraj, Asst Prof. The Team won the Award for their Project "Frictionless Gear Transmission Using Polymagnets". The Team was given the award by Honourable Minister of HRD, Mr. Prakash Javdekar and Mr. Kiran Karnik, Former President, NASSCOM.

The Team was one amongst the 35 Top Finalists in India amongst 1500 Teams who had submitted their Ideas. Another Project Team of ECE, guided by Mr. Padma Prasad, Asst Prof, ECE also were one amongst the Top 35 who participated in the Finals.
