The Electronics and Communication Department incorporates a personal approach to education that is supportive of students and provides fundamental and applied skills in engineering, computing and mathematics. The department has highly qualified, experienced & dedicated faculty, committed to impart technical knowledge using advanced pedagogic methodologies.The learning environment, including faculty, staff, and administration, is focussed on the evolving needs of students and society. This allows individuals with diverse backgrounds to enter, succeed, and continue the life-long earning process in their chosen careers. We also send members of faculty for training in the latest technologies and use of modern media of instructions. The department recognizes the fact that faculty and staff are the most essential components in the realization of this mission and it seeks to provide a working environment that supports and nurtures these individuals.The department has large and spacious laboratories with a congenial ratio of student to equipment where they get to work hands-on and get real-time experience under the guidance of the highly accomplished faculty. The laboratories are well equipped with ultra modern, hi-tech equipments to meet the growing needs of the industry. The Department has procured latest version of Mat lab and XILINX software to enable the students to learn the latest tools used by the industry. Over the years, the department has built up laboratories in the areas of Electronic devices and circuits, Digital and Logic Design, Microprocessors, Communications including Microwaves and Analog Communications, VHDL, Microcontrollers and Matlab.

1. To impart knowledge in the fields of Electronics, Communication and related areas with a focus on developing the necessary competencies, virtues and qualities expected of an electronics engineer by the society at large

2. To familiarize the students with the state of the art technology to meet the growing demands of modern industries

3. To foster self development leading to positive social transformation

1. To produce technically competent graduates with the ability to analyze, design, develop, optimize and implement electronic systems

2. To excel in professional careers or pursue higher education by acquiring requisite knowledge in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering

3. To inculcate adaptability to current and changing trends by engaging in lifelong learning activities by research

4. To encourage students to develop application of inter disciplinary approaches and an ability to relate engineering issues with those in a broader social context along with ethical responsibility

The graduates of the Electronics and Communication Engineering department will have,

1. To apply the knowledge of mathematics and science in electronics and communication engineering discipline

2. To identify, formulate, solve complex problems to achieve the demonstrated conclusions and to analyze and interpret the data using mathematical principles and engineering science

3. To be able to design, implement and to evaluate systems using current techniques, resources and skills that meet the demands and needs of society

4. To investigate, conduct experiments and interpret the results to provide valid conclusions

5. To adopt current techniques, resources and skills for the design and analysis of systems using Modern Tools

6. To communicate effectively in verbal and in written form to a wide range of audience

7. To promote better understanding of electronics and communication engineering and Management principles

8. Application of engineering principles in various fields of profession as a member/leader in a team while managing projects in interdisciplinary environments to accomplish a common goal

10. To understand and design the project and to write effective reports on the implemented work
