Dr. G.L Easwara Prasad,currently working as Principal, M.I.T.E has 35 years of teaching experience.He obtained his bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from P.E.S College of Engineering, Mandya under the University of Mysore in 1981,obtained his post graduate degree (M.E) in Structural Engineering from IISc, Bangalore in the year 1989. He was awarded doctoral for his work entitled "Plasticity and Impact Mechanics" from IIT Delhi in the year 1999.He had been an active member of various technical & professional bodies such as ISTE, ICT, etc. He had undertaken various projects under civil engineering and guided many UG and PG projects. He had chaired many National and International conferences and guided serveral research scholors.

Served as Member Board of Studies Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum from 2003 to 2006.

Chairman Board of Examiners Civil Engg. Board University of Mysore.

Visited Engineering colleges as member of VTU Local Inspection Committee.
