ECE Students Project - ‘Triplet Li-fi’ won the Third Prize in the 7th All India UNISYS Cloud 20/20 - Project Competition. Unisys Cloud 20/20 is one of India’s largest annual technical project contests.

The Ninth edition of Sentia, Sentia - State Level Intercollegiate Cultural, Technical and Management fest of MITE was organized on March 24 - 25th 2016. SAE Baja India is an all India intercollegiate engineering design competition for undergraduate and graduate engineering students. The objective of the competition is to simulate real-world engineering design projects and their related challenges. Each team is competing to have its design accepted for manufacture by a fictitious firm.

A ‘Mega blood donation camp’ was organized on 6th of February at Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering under the banner of National Service Scheme (MITE unit), Lions Club Bendoorwell & Tulunadu. This camp was in associated with Indian Red-Cross society Blood Bank Mangaluru, K.M.C Hospital Blood Bank, Govt. Wenlock Hospital Blood Bank and Tejaswini Hospital Blood Bank.
