Department Forum
We at MITE MBA believe that Management cannot be taught within the four walls of a classroom. While theories of Management definitely have a role to play in the overall scheme of things, one has to experience management to learn it.
To facilitate this hands-on approach to learning, students become members of various academic clubs such as:
Finance Club: Industry experts in the field of Finance like Auditors, Investment Bankers visit the college to speak to the students about the current affairs related to Finance. Dr. Jayashri Shetty is the faculty coordinator.
HR Club: Activities related to the Human Resource Management like HR quiz are regularly held on the campus. Many HR and IR experts from the industry visit the campus to update the students about the latest HR&IR practices. Ms. Verina D’Souza is the faculty coordinator.
Marketing Club: Marketing case study presentation competition, marketing related activities competition, and guest talk by leading sales and marketing experts from the industry are some of the activities through which we try to kindle the imagination of the students. Pradeep Kumar B. R is the faculty coordinator.
Eco Club: Through this club we strive to engage students in spreading awareness about Ecology and Green initiatives. Street plays, lectures, Swach Bharath Abhiyan are some of the activities under this banner. Mr. Akshathraj Jain is the faculty coordinator.
CSR club: This club inculcates a sense of sharing, caring, and compassion for the society among the student members through its activities. Various CSR activities are conducted through this club under the guidance of Mr. Akshathraj Jain, the faculty coordinator.
Research Club: Research is an integral part of higher education. This club is successful in pursuing research and also getting government-sponsored projects like KSCST since inception. Our faculty member, Mr. K. Abhaya Kumar encourages many students to participate in student research.
