Introduction
The department of PHYSICS was established in 2007 with the mission to feed the budding Engineers with finer aspects of science, which make them understand, exploit and innovate a new arena, which contributes to the technological advancement of tomorrow in the field of Physics at UG level. The department has well-qualified staff members who have involved themselves in the welfare of the first-year students. They have a very good teacher-student interaction and all the teachers are student counselors also. This ensures the good academic performance of the students. The department has maintained good results in every semester (Near to 100%).
The department is involved in research on various active fields in physics such as electron irradiation on semiconductors, Non-linear optical materials and its characterization, Nano Science and Technology. It is proposed to have state-of-the-art laboratory facilities to support the research work in the above areas.
