MITE Students win All India 2nd Best Project Award at Unisys Cloud 20/20

The project “CO-DI-RA Messenger” by Students of MITE won All India Second Prize in the Annual 9th Edition of UNISYS All India Project Competition Cloud 20/20 held in Bangalore. The team had Students of Electronics and communication Engineering– Nagashree TS, Nikitha Chowta and Sandhya S. Mr. Ramalingam H M, Senior Assistant Professor, Dept of ECE guided the students in the Project.

The Team was awarded a cash Prize of INR 1.25 Lakh. Unisys. MITE has entered the finals of the prestigious event for Three successive  years. In the year 2016, MITE had won the III with a cash prize of INR 1 Lakhs.

About the project:
CoDiRa Messenger is a mobile accessory and associated app, which helps to communicate without mobile network and or Internet. This application, in particular will be of great help during distress. A simple CoDiRa messenger paired with any smart phone and similar kinds of devices in the nearby area makes a network and forwards the information. An important feature of this technology is that the mobile can interact with another mobile without any mobile tower signal or internet connection.

About Cloud 20/20:
Launched in 2009, the contest aims to provide engineering students across the country with a platform to offer innovative ideas around disruptive technology trends. Students submit project ideas in broad technical areas as per the contest guidelines which are evaluated by the Unisys Technical team and based on the innovation/merit of the idea, selected for the next round, where students will work on their project idea and demonstrate it.
