Global Conference on Advanced Smart & Sustainable Technologies in Engineering inaugurated at MITE

AI is the future, embrace or be outdated, said Dr. Prahlad at MITE

‘Artificial Intelligence is the future, embrace or be outdated’ said Dr. Prahlad Vadakkepat, Associate Professor, The National University of Singapore at the Inaugural function of the two day Global Conference on Advanced Smart and Sustainable Technologies in Engineering (GCASSTE-2020) at Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering, Moodabidri on January 30, 2020. The conference sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE, New Delhi) is jointly organized by Dept of Civil, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication and Computer Science Engineering. It deals with the advanced technologies that are more sustainable, solving critical engineering problems, improving the overall quality of life and hence benefitting the society at large. The grant from AICTE is in recognition to the uniqueness and the distinctive objectives of the Conference and its intended outcomes to the different domains of engineering and society at large.

After the inauguration, Dr. Prahlad V delivered the Keynote address on the topic ‘Importance of Artificial Intelligence & Deep Learning ’. He spoke about the relevance of Artificial Intelligence in all domains in today’s world. Dr. Prahalad’s address focused on Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, Deep Learning and the need for one to pursue these as their passion and master it. Dr. Prahlad stressed that AI is indeed the future. With the industry shifting to AI, Robotics, Automation, and IoT to transform, he mentioned about improving efficiency and productivity in all spears of engineering. Dr. Prahalad addressed the Researchers and mentioned that Innovation is the differentiator and that makes a researcher distinct he added. He urged the researchers to network and share knowledge. Sharing knowledge is predominantly important; it improves knowledge and Conferences are an opportunity to meet people and get ideas, he said.
