It is with great pleasure that we introduce Mrs. Shaila Sequeira, our new Student & Staff Counsellor, to the MITE family.

Counselor  :: Ms. Shaila Sequeira is the professional counselor at our institution. Ms. Sequeira brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our campus, holding a Master of Social Work (MSW) in Medical Psychiatry and Counselling from Mangalore University. With over a decade of experience in the field, she has served as a Faculty and counselor at various educational institutions.

Ms. Sequeira’s professional journey is marked by her commitment to mental health and well-being. She has presented papers at both national and international conferences, covering topics such as maternal health, life satisfaction among elders, and family life education. Her extensive fieldwork experience includes working as a medical and psychiatric social worker at reputed hospitals and community centers.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Sequeira has actively participated in various mental health awareness programs and has been recognized for her excellence in sports and community activities. Her holistic approach to counseling will undoubtedly contribute to the overall well-being of our students and staff, ensuring a supportive and healthy environment on campus.
