MITE has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Binghamton University, State University of New York, the USA after thorough research by the university on the vision, capabilities, and prodigious achievements of the institution since inception. The signing of MoA was at Binghamton on 4th May 2016. With this agreement, the two Institutes agree to ‘foster advancement in teaching, research, academic collaboration and create avenues for enhancing learner experience at both partners, as well as strengthen both partners by finding ways of combining their complementary resources and strengths.

Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering and Binghamton University was renewed during May 2023. renewed its Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Binghamton University, State University of New York, SUNY USA for a period of another Five Years, Years, further strengthening the partnership between the two institutions. The MoA document exchange ceremony took place between Mr. Rajesh Chowta, Chairman of MITE, and Mr. Harvey Stenger, President of Binghamton University, along with Mr. Donald E Hall, Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost of Binghamton University on 2nd May 2023 at the Binghamton University Campus, New York, USA.

Highly qualified MITE students will enroll in graduate programs at the Thomas J. Watson College of Engineering and Applied Science, we will collaborate on industry/university partnerships and we will cooperate on conferences and workshops that will support faculty development and the sharing of knowledge.”

Every Year a Certification Program on ‘Lean Six Sigma – Yellow Belt & Green Belt’ is conducted to the Students of Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering.
Also, a Certification Course on ‘Data Analytics & Data Mining’ is conducted by Binghamton University Professor to the Computer Science & Engineering, Information Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering Students at MITE Campus. Binghamton University will be admitting students for MS Studies from MITE. Also, Final Year Students will be getting an opportunity to do their Six Week Internship Program at US. In addition, Final Year Student Projects will be mentored by Professors as Project Guides.

Resource Person : Dr. Yong Wang, Associate Professor and Associate chair of the Systems Science and Industrial Engineering Department within the Watson College of Engineering and Applied Science at Binghamton University, USA. Dec 9: MITE in association with the Binghamton University condducted the ‘US Education Fair’, for the students aspiring to pursue higher educations. This fair provided a platform for students to gain in-depth knowledge about the diverse educational opportunities available in the US, Scholarships, Internships and Jobs, and also interact with representatives from Binghamton University, and understand the nuances of the application and admission processes.
