“State Best project of the year 2018 ” at KSCST

The 41st series of the Student Project Program of Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST) witnessed a team from the Department of Mechanical engineering win the coveted “State Best Project of the year -2018” from Karnataka State Council for Science & Technology. 11 innovative projects from MITE had bagged sponsorship through KSCST in 2018.

The project “Multi Nozzle manually operated Sprayer”  by Harsha Rahul Crasta, Manjunath Shet, Sawood Sharief S and Vishal M Suvarna and guided by Mr. Elton Dylan Nazareth, Asst Professor, Dept of Mechanical Engineering won the “State Best Project of the year 2018” which was amongst 342 participating teams at the state level.

The Selection
The student proposals from around the state are reviewed by an expert panel that has Senior Scientists from the renowned Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and other national labs. Selected projects are funded by KSCST. On completion, the projects are again reviewed by an expert panel which selects the projects for Seminar and Exhibition based on the innovation and its contribution to society at large.
