Instill the Pride of Nationalism and Be the Change says Capt. Ganesh Karnik
‘Instill the Pride of Nationalism, Be The change, and proud to be an Indian’ said Captain Ganesh Karnik at the Flag Distribution ceremony as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Program at Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering, (MITE) Moodabidri on 11th August 2022. The Celebration of Amrith Mahotsav Independence Day kickstarted at the MITE campus with the flag distribution to all the Students, Staff Members and the nearby villages as part of the National Movement.
Capt Ganesh Karnik, Former Indian Army Officer, Former Member of Karnataka Legislative Council, Former Deputy Chairman – NRI Forum was the chief Guest for the Program. In his address to the gathering he mentioned that, we have been saying that We are the Developing Country since 75 years, and it is time that we bring in a movement of change and be reckoned as the Developed country. The students are the future of the Nation and are the catalyst for bringing the change. He also mentioned that to be reckoned as a Developed country, we need to change our habits and attitude and contribute towards the Development of the Nation. We need to stop the discrimination on the basis of caste, economy, education and rather think as Indians first. He also urged the Engineers to contribute towards the Nation by developing innovative products towards making India as the Super Power.
Mr. Rajesh Chowta, Chairman, MITE presided over the function. In his presidential address, Mr. Rajesh Chowta, Chairman MITE mentioned that the Students are the Nation builders and have a larger responsibility in building the Nation as a Developed Country. He urged all to dedicate themselves to the nation and urged to celebrate the Independence day with the same passion and pride every year.
Capt. Ganesh Karnik, along with Mr. Rajesh Chowta, chairman, MITE distributed the National Flag to all the Students and Staff Members of the College. The flags were distributed to 2500 students and faculty at the campus. Later, the NSS Unit of MITE under the Leadership of Prof. Jayadeva Prasad, Head of MITE-NSS Unit visited the nearby villages of Neerkere, Kallamundkuru, Putthige, Paaladka, Beluvai, Padumarnad, Yedapadavu and moodabidri and distributed the flags to 2500+ houses.
Dr. M S Ganesha Prasad, Principal welcomed the gathering. Mr. Amruthraj, Faculty of MBA proposed the vote of thanks. Mrs. Deepthi Shetty compeered the program.
