The Teaching Learning Centre (TLC) of MITE in association with IQAC organized a peer learning session titled “AI Tools for Teaching and Learning” on 7th March 2026 at 11:30 AM. The session aimed to introduce faculty members to emerging Artificial Intelligence tools that can enhance teaching effectiveness, content creation, and digital learning practices. A total of 15 faculty members actively participated in the session, making it an engaging platform for sharing knowledge and exploring innovative teaching methods.
The session was delivered by Dr. Adithya Hegde, Assistant Professor, Department of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (RAI), MITE. The talk focused on the practical application of AI tools that can support educators in organizing academic resources, generating teaching materials, and improving classroom delivery. The speaker demonstrated how Google Notebook (NotebookLM) can be used to organize course materials, summarize documents, and generate meaningful insights from academic content. Faculty members were also introduced to AI-assisted content creation, which enables quick generation of lecture notes, explanations, and study materials, thereby improving teaching efficiency and productivity.
The session also included a demonstration on HTML content generation using AI tools, showing how faculty can create simple digital learning pages without requiring extensive programming knowledge. Participants were encouraged to integrate these AI tools into their teaching practices and maintain a brief report on their implementation during the semester. The session provided valuable insights into leveraging Artificial Intelligence to support modern teaching and learning practices in higher education.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Aveen K P, Assistant Professor and TLC Coordinator, Department of Robotics & Artificial Intelligence, MITE. The session concluded with an interactive discussion where faculty members shared their views on adopting AI tools for teaching and academic content development. The program successfully encouraged educators to explore innovative digital tools that can enhance the overall teaching-learning experience.
