Alumni Technothon – MITE (ATM Series I : AY 2025-26)

The Alumni Committee of Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering (MITE) organized a two-day event titled “Alumni Technothon – MITE (ATM Series I: AY 2025–26)” on 10th & 11th October 2025, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The event was part of MITE’s continuous efforts to strengthen alumni engagement and bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry experience. It provided a platform for distinguished alumni from various departments to share their professional journeys, technological insights, and experiences with the current students, thereby fostering a culture of mentorship, innovation, and collaboration.

The event featured 15 accomplished alumni speakers representing diverse domains and disciplines, each contributing valuable insights from their respective industries. The event witnessed an overwhelming participation of more than 1000 students from the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years, along with faculty coordinators and members of the Alumni Committee. The sessions enabled students to gain industry-relevant knowledge, understand emerging technology trends, and receive career-oriented advice from alumni who have excelled in fields such as Aerospace, Artificial Intelligence, Full Stack Development, Cloud Computing, Mechanical Design, Civil Construction, and Entrepreneurship. Each session emphasized bridging classroom learning with real-world application and encouraged students to pursue professional excellence, creativity, and continuous learning.

The organizing committee for the event was led by Dr. Vinayambika S Bhat, Convener – Alumni Committee. The key takeaways of the Alumni Technothon – MITE (ATM Series I) included enhanced alumni-student interaction, exposure to current industry practices, and valuable insights into technological advancements across multiple disciplines. The sessions inspired students to align their academic goals with professional aspirations while encouraging innovation, teamwork, and adaptability. The initiative also reflected MITE’s core value of “Family Culture”, fostering lifelong connections between alumni and their alma mater.

The event concluded with an appreciation to all the resource persons for their contribution towards nurturing the next generation of engineers. The Alumni Technothon – MITE (ATM Series I) successfully strengthened the bridge between academia and industry while celebrating the achievements of MITE’s alumni community.
