Alumni Technothon – MITE (ATM Series II : AY 2025-26)

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Alumni Committee of Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering (MITE) organized “Alumni Technothon – MITE (ATM Series II: AY 2025–26)”, a two-day technical talk series held on 6th and 7th March 2026 from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The event aimed to strengthen alumni engagement and bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practice by inviting accomplished alumni to share their professional experiences and technological insights with students. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 1000 students from the second, third, and fourth year, along with faculty members of various departments.

 

The event featured 15 distinguished alumni speakers from diverse professional backgrounds including supply chain management, software development, aerospace engineering, artificial intelligence, VLSI design, fintech, product management, and entrepreneurship. The speakers included Mr. N Prakyat Varma (ABB India Ltd.), Mr. Sagar Rajagouda Pati (Rockstar Softwares), Mr. Abdul Shahad (Founder, Swirlyo India), Ms. Shayani Rao (Research Scholar, NITK Surathkal), Ms. Chaithanya N (Thermo Fisher Scientific), Mr. Jyeshtaraja Joisa (Startup Founder and Research Scholar), Ms. Chaithanya N M (Finastra), Mr. Natesh Karantha N (MBRDI), Mr. Harsha (Manipal Technologies Limited), Ms. Shobhitha Bhat (HirePro Technologies Pvt. Ltd.), Ms. Shrirathna K G (Lenovo India Pvt. Ltd.), Ms. Ananya Y Alva (Scientific Games), Mr. Naresh Kumar (Nexthink), Ms. Vyshali (Oracle India Pvt. Ltd.), and Mr. Sri Ganesh Bhat (Karmic Design Pvt. Ltd.). Through their technical sessions, the speakers discussed contemporary topics such as resilient supply chain architectures, cross-disciplinary technology stacks, startup development, UAV systems engineering, AI-native applications, fintech solutions, VLSI design, and career strategies in rapidly evolving technology sectors.

 

The sessions provided students with valuable insights into emerging technologies, industry expectations, and professional growth opportunities. The alumni also shared their career journeys, challenges faced in the industry, and the importance of multidisciplinary skills in today’s competitive technological landscape. The interactions encouraged students to think innovatively, build practical skills, and explore diverse career pathways across engineering and management domains.

The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Vinayambika S Bhat, Convener – Alumni Committee, along with a dedicated organizing team comprising faculty members from various departments. The Alumni Technothon – MITE (Series II) served as a valuable platform for strengthening alumni student connections and inspiring students through real-world experiences shared by successful alumni professionals.
