MITE Youth Red Cross and Lions Club Bendoorwell, Mangalore, jointly organized a Blood Donation Camp on May 17, 2025, at 9:30 AM at the Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Moodbidri. The event saw enthusiastic participation, with around 200 students donating blood. The camp was supported by KMC Hospital-Mangalore and Indian REDCROSS Blood Bank, Mangalore.

The program was inaugurated by Dr. Prashanth C M, Principal of MITE, Moodbidri. Doctors from KMC Mangalore and Redcross Mangalore and dignitaries from Lions Club, Bendoorwell were present. President of the program Lion Ronald Gomes, in his inaugural address mentioned that blood donation is the humble work a human can do. He appealed to students to donate blood once in three months. A total of 190 units blood was collected. All the donors were awarded certificates. Students volunteered to do all the arrangements and learnt the importance of contribution to the society.
