Hands-on Workshop on “Process-Driven Innovation in Embedded Systems for Prototype Development”

Mr. Vallinath S, DGM for Embedded Products, JIO Platforms, Bengaluru. Mr. Harish .H, Technical Lead, Capgemini, Bengaluru and Mr. Lepaksha Nagappa, Senior Technical Manager, Capgemini, Bengaluru, has conducted the hands-on workshop, which provided practical experience in embedded programming, debugging, and IoT applications. Participants explored the EmbSys Git repository, learning version control for embedded projects. Using Code Composer Studio (CCS), they built and tested firmware, while Hercules software enabled UART-based serial communication. Attendees programmed NodeMCU (ESP8266) for IoT and worked with MSP430 for low-power applications, modifying code for real-time processing. The workshop enhanced debugging skills, hardware-software integration, and real-time data transfer. It was highly beneficial for students to gain industry-relevant expertise, while faculty members strengthened their knowledge of emerging embedded technologies for improved teaching and research.
