International Mathematics Day – Creative Minds: Modeling Mathematical Concepts

The department of Mathematics and Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) organized a competition, “Creative Minds: Modeling Mathematical Concepts”, on the 14^th of March 2025 to mark International Mathematics Day – 2025. The competition aimed to promote creative thinking and practical application of mathematical concepts through model-based presentations.

 Around 150 students participated in the competition that provided students with an opportunity to apply mathematical concepts to real-world problems, enhancing their problem-solving abilities and analytical reasoning. Participants showcased creativity and innovation by designing models that effectively illustrated complex mathematical theorems and principles, making abstract concepts more tangible and engaging. Teams were assessed based on their problem understanding, mathematical approach, accuracy and logic, model effectiveness, presentation and clarity.
