The Department of Master of Computer Applications at Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering (MITE) organized a one-day experience session combined with a technical project exhibition titled “Ideas to Impact: A Day of Tech & Talent” on 28th May 2025. The event, coordinated by the Association of Computer Application Specialists (ACAS), aimed to showcase the creative potential and technical skills of MCA students through project demonstrations and expert interaction.
The session featured a keynote by Mr. Harish Kumar, Founder and Managing Director of Accolade Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Mangaluru. With his extensive background in software development and strategic IT solutions, Mr. Kumar brought valuable insights into the world of innovation and entrepreneurship. His leadership in emerging domains like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning provided an inspiring framework for students aspiring to make an impact in the tech industry.
A total of 143 participants, including 139 MCA students from the 2nd and 3rd semesters and 4 faculty members, actively engaged in the event. The exhibition encouraged students to present their technical projects and explain their work to an expert jury, fostering critical thinking, confidence, and communication skills. Participants were evaluated on their ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and professionally.
The experience session focused on Direct-to-Mobile (D2M) communication systems, offering participants foundational and advanced knowledge of the architecture, real-world applications, advantages, and limitations of the technology. Additionally, the session provided exposure to how modern technologies are being integrated into areas such as public broadcasting, emergency communication, and digital content delivery.
The event also served to broaden participants’ awareness of academic and career opportunities in fields like digital communication, software engineering, and broadcasting. Through expert interaction and peer learning, students gained valuable insights into the evolving landscape of technology and innovation.
In conclusion, “Ideas to Impact: A Day of Tech & Talent” successfully combined experiential learning with industry exposure, motivating students to pursue innovation and excellence in their future academic and professional journeys.
