The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering, organized a two-day workshop on “Code the Stack: .NET Meets React” on 4th and 5th May 2026. The workshop was designed to provide students with practical exposure to modern full-stack web application development by integrating React-based frontend technologies with .NET backend services. A total of 52 students actively participated in the program, making it a highly interactive and application-oriented learning experience.
The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Srinidhi B, Full Stack Developer at Microchip Technology, Bengaluru. He possesses extensive expertise in designing, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise applications using modern web technologies. His professional experience includes ASP.NET Core, React, RESTful API development, database integration, frontend-backend communication, and software deployment practices. Drawing from his industry experience, he provided valuable insights into current software development trends, industry expectations, and best practices adopted in professional full-stack application development environments.
The workshop sessions focused on providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of full-stack application development through expert lectures, live demonstrations, and hands-on activities. Students were introduced to ASP.NET Core, REST API development, React component architecture, Entity Framework Core, database connectivity, CRUD operations, state management, routing, and frontend-backend integration. Through coding exercises and mini-project development, participants gained practical experience in building modern web applications and applying theoretical concepts to real-world software solutions. The hands-on sessions also enhanced students’ understanding of debugging techniques, API testing, deployment practices, and software development workflows. In addition, the resource person shared valuable guidance on career opportunities in full-stack development, project portfolio building, and emerging trends in web technologies.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Dinesha L, Associate Professor, and Mr. Shivaraj B G, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, MITE. The workshop concluded successfully with active participation and enthusiastic engagement from students. Overall, the program served as an effective platform for enhancing technical proficiency, problem-solving abilities, and industry readiness, equipping participants with practical skills relevant to contemporary software development practices.
