Two-day workshop on “Ignite Your Tech Path: From Practice to Breakthrough Interview”

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering organized a two-day workshop titled “Ignite Your Tech Path: From Practice to Breakthrough Interview” on 25th and 26th November 2025. The workshop was aimed at enhancing students’ technical skills, interview preparedness, and understanding of real-world software development practices.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Harish Neermarga, Founder and Managing Director of Accolade Tech Solutions Private Limited, Mangalore. With over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, the resource person has worked across multiple stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, including requirement analysis, design, coding, implementation, deployment, and support. His professional expertise also spans emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Management, Smart TV application development, and mobile and web application platforms. The primary objective of the workshop was to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations by strengthening programming fundamentals, improving logical thinking, and preparing students for technical interviews through hands-on learning.

On Day 1, the sessions focused on strengthening students’ fundamentals in C programming. The resource person guided participants through logic-building exercises, structured coding approaches, and effective debugging techniques commonly required in technical interviews. Students were trained to approach problems systematically, handle test cases efficiently, and improve their coding accuracy and confidence. The interactive nature of the session helped participants enhance their algorithmic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

On Day 2, the workshop shifted its focus toward industry-oriented technology exposure. Students were introduced to modern tech stack development, gaining insights into how multiple technologies work together in real-world software projects. The resource person demonstrated web development using React and Node.js, explaining the interaction between front-end and back-end systems, dynamic content handling, and server-side integration. This session helped students understand current development workflows followed in the software industry.

The two-day workshop provided a valuable learning platform where students strengthened their programming fundamentals, logical reasoning, and structured problem-solving skills. The exposure to modern web technologies further enabled them to relate academic concepts to practical industry applications.

A total of 30 students and 2 faculty members took part in the workshop. The sessions were conducted in an interactive manner through coding practice, demonstrations, and discussions. Feedback from participants indicated improved confidence in facing technical interviews and enhanced exposure to industry-relevant competencies.
