Workshop on “Effective Sales and Marketing Strategies for Early Stage Entrepreneurs”
The department of Management Studies organized a Workshop on ‘Effective Sales and Marketing Strategies for Early Stage Entrepreneurs’, on the 22nd of February 2025 at MITE. The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Ravikiran Paptimar, Senior Director – Product & Technology, Incture Technologies, Mangalore. Mr. Ravikiran has over 20 years of rich experience in Product Leadership and Development Strategy across various industries and domains. Currently, he manages the Cherrywork® suite of digital applications, which focuses on addressing business challenges for customers across manufacturing, consumer packaging goods and retail, oil and gas, and life sciences. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a graduate of the Institute of Product Leadership.
MBA students had the opportunity to participate in the insightful workshop by Mr. Ravikiran Paptimar, Product Leader at Incture Technologies, Mangalore. The workshop provided a comprehensive understanding of current market trends, emphasizing the increasing role of digital marketing, social media influence, and data-driven decision-making in shaping business success. One of the key takeaways from the workshop was the critical role of sales and marketing in business growth. Students learnt how these functions are not just about selling products but also about creating a market by identifying customer needs, developing a strong value proposition, and strategically positioning a product or service. Students gained valuable insights into customer segmentation and targeting, learning how to analyze demographics, preferences, and behavioral patterns to reach the right audience effectively. Through engaging discussions and real-world case studies of successful brands like Old Spice, Whirlpool, and Spirit Airlines, students understood the impact of well- planned marketing and sales strategies. Overall, the workshop enriched students’ understanding of marketing and sales dynamics, providing them with actionable insights that will be beneficial in their future careers.
