World IP Day Celebration 2025
MITE-KSCST IPR Cell & NAIN-MITE in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized World IP Day Celebration, on 26th of April, 2025. A session on “Intellectual Property Rights” was conducted as part of the celebration. The resource person for the session was Mr. Sundar Sherighar M, Assistant Director, MSME Development Institute, Mangaluru. Mr. Sundar is an experienced professional in the field of intellectual property and MSME development. He has extensive knowledge of IP rights, innovation, and entrepreneurship. His expertise includes guiding startups and individuals on protecting their intellectual property and leveraging it for business growth.
The session witnessed participation from around 50 students and 10 faculty members. The resource person discussed the importance of intellectual property (IP) rights and its role in fostering innovation and creativity. The session deliberated on various forms of IP such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Practical guidance was provided to the participants on protection of their innovations and ideas, while also highlighting the role of MSME development initiatives in supporting startups and innovators. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing participants to clarify doubts and engage deeply with the topic.
